Put Clients First

A Personal Story from Attorney John Kelly:

When I was in the third grade, my mother was a victim of medical malpractice. She went to the hospital with early warning signs and symptoms of a heart attack. But because she was in her 30s, they sent her home without running any diagnostic tests. That night she had a massive heart attack. Within a year, she had a second heart attack and a stroke. All of this was preventable had the doctors taken the time to treat her. I grew up with a front-row seat to the life-long ramifications of that malpractice. My brothers and I worked over 40 hours a week while in high school to make ends meet and provide for my disabled mother. 

Those doctors and nurses did not mean to harm my mother, but you better believe they deserved to be held accountable for that mistake. Honest mistakes have devastating and life-altering consequences too. By holding doctors, dangerous drivers, and trucking companies responsible for their errors, we coerce them to behave more cautiously, making the public safer. I wish no one lives through what my mother or I have lived through. But, when it does, I live to fight those battles for them.
